MOH reports 2,234 new Covid cases, 2 deaths

MALAYSIA recorded 2,234 new Covid-19 cases yesterday, taking the total number of infections to 4.95 million since the onset of the pandemic.

Currently, there are 29,605 active cases, of which 27,666 (93.5%) are in home quarantine.

The country also recorded 3,836 recoveries bringing the cumulative total to 4.88 million.

Two deaths were reported, one each in Johor and Kedah, taking the death toll to 36,548.

The ministry said there are 91 people in ICU, 57 of which require respiratory assistance.

Selangor logged the highest number of infections with 957 cases, followed by Sabah (188), Kuala Lumpur (176), Penang (135), Malacca (134), Negri Sembilan (122), Perak (106), Kedah (90), Kelantan (84), Sarawak (82), Pahang (55) Johor (53), Terengganu (23), Putrajaya (17), Labuan (9) and Perlis (3). – November 14, 2022.
