A PENSIONER reported missing earlier has been found about 30km away from where he was last seen. Luckily, in time for his birthday tomorrow.

Andrew Wong Hock Hin, 77, was found well but unconscious by a resident on his way to his farm in Kg Sugud in Penampang, some 12 hours after he went missing yesterday.

Wong was last seen at 10.35am after dropping his wife at the Luyang Clinic, city police chief M. Chandra said.

“Around 13.45pm, his daughter called to inform us that her father’s White Proton Wira had been found by a resident in the village.

“Two officers were sent to the location and found Sylvester Jivonis, who found Wong’s car parked on the side of the road leading to his farm.

“Sylvester said the car was idle and found Wong lying on the grass nearby. We have also given Wong a memento as he is supposed to celebrate his birthday on August 25,” said Chandra, adding that the former civil servant was then brought to the Kota Kinabalu police station.

Wong was driving but became lost until Kg Sugud. – August 24, 2017.
