SABAH police are searching for a 77-year-old retired government officer after he was reported missing by a family member since yesterday.

Andrew Wong Hin Kok, the father of Malaysian history professor Danny Wong, was last seen dropping off his wife at the Luyang Clinic at 10.35am for treatment, according to their daughter, Catherine Wong.

He said he would look for parking spot, according to Kota Kinabalu police chief M. Chandra.

“After her mother completed her treatment around 2.30pm, she called Catherine because she could not find her husband around the clinic area,” said Chandra, adding that a missing person report was later lodged by the daughter.

Wong is suffering from short-term memory loss. He was driving a white Proton Wira with the registration number SA9013U.

Wong’s family members have also launched an appeal through a viral WhatsApp message. – August 24, 2017.
