THE retail prices of RON97, RON95 and diesel will remain at RM3.47, RM2.05 and RM2.15 per litre from November 23 to 29.

The Finance Ministry in a statement today said the prices were fixed based on weekly retail rates of petroleum products under the Automatic Pricing Mechanism.

“To protect consumers from the hikes in global oil prices, the government will maintain the ceiling prices of RON95 and diesel at RM2.05 and RM2.15 per litre, even though the market prices for both products have risen beyond the current ceiling rates,” the statement said.

It said the government would continue monitoring global crude oil prices and take measures to ensure the welfare of the people. – Bernama, November 22, 2023.
