PAHANG has vaccinated 98.38% of its teachers against Covid-19, while 301 teachers have yet to get the jab, said state Education director Mohammad Rosli Abdul Rahman.

He said teachers who have yet to be vaccinated must do so before November 1 – the final date set by the Public Service Department.

“As of October 6, the vaccination rate for teenagers aged 12 to 17 has reached 85.21%, with parents giving very good cooperation.”

Meanwhile, Pahang deputy police chief Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri said crime statistics involving students in the state this year have declined from last year.

A total of 34 crime cases involving 58 students were recorded up to last month, compared with 43 cases involving 88 students during the same period last year, he added.

“The cases reported in the last two years were mostly sexual crime, followed by cases involving theft, bullying, narcotics and traffic offences.” – Bernama, October 13, 2021.
