61% of adult population fully vaccinated against coronavirus

MALAYSIA administered a total of 343,900 doses of Covid-19 vaccines yesterday, significantly fewer than in the previous day. 

The Special Committee for Ensuring Access to Covid-19 Vaccine Supply said 408,295 jabs were dispensed . 
on the day before on Thursday.

Of yesterday’s shots, 141,492 were first doses and 202,408, second doses.

To date, 61.1% (14.3 million) of adults have had their second dose and 81.5% (19.1 million) of adults), their first.

Labuan has the highest rate of full vaccination with 63,750 people, or 93.1% of the adult population, having received two doses.

The Klang Valley has seen the highest number of doses dispensed with 6.8 million first jabs and 5.4 million second jabs.

 In total, 33.4 million doses of vaccine have been administered since the vaccination drive began on February 24.

Meanwhile, restrictions have been eased for fully vaccinated people in phase 1 states, where they are able to dine out 14 days after receiving their second dose. 

People in states in phase 2 and above of the national recovery plan may travel inter-district and take local holidays. – August 28, 2021.
