ANTI-GRAFT officials have asked Rosmah Mansor to be present at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission headquarters in Putrajaya tomorrow for questioning.
The wife of former prime minister Najib Razak has been questioned previously but never charged with any offence.
Najib himself has been charged twice after spending a night at the MACC headquarters.
Sources told The Star that a notice requiring Rosmah’s presence at the MACC tomorrow was handed to her this afternoon.
Yesterday, MACC said it had completed investigations into Rosmah and submitted its report to the attorney-general to decide on charges.
On June 5, Rosmah was questioned by MACC investigators for five hours over money from a former 1Malaysia Development Bhd subsidiary, SRC International, channelled to Najib’s account.
She is also being sued for RM60 million over 44 pieces of unreturned jewellery by Global Royalty Trading SAL, which is owned by Lebanese jeweller Samer Halimeh.
The jewellery were seized during police raids at premises linked to Najib in May and are part of a total haul of items worth more than RM1 billion. – September 25, 2018.
