MALAYSIA logged 1,877 new Covid-19 infections yesterday, up from 1,809 from the previous day.
The new cases bring the total number of infections to 4,510,196.
The Health Ministry’s CovidNow website showed that there were two deaths from the coronavirus.
Active cases now stand at 23,208, while 35,680 have died since the start of the pandemic.
Selangor logged the highest number of infections with 886 cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur (315) and Perak (141).
Penang reported 125 cases, Negri Sembilan (121), Putrajaya (57), Malacca (55), Kedah (46), Johor (42), Sabah (32), Pahang (17), Sarawak (14), Kelantan (14), Terengganu (7), Perlis (4) and Labuan (1).
The GitHub database showed that Johor and Kedah reported one death each.
There are currently 945 Covid-19 hospitalisations with 12 people in the intensive care unit, while 17 are on ventilators. – June 3, 2022.
