More than 15.6 million adults in Malaysia given Covid-19 booster dose

MORE than 15.6 million people or 66.6% of the adult population in the country have received the Covid-19 booster dose as of yesterday.

Based on the CovidNow website, more than 22.9 million people or 97.5% of the adult population have been fully vaccinated against the coronavirus while more than 23.2 million individuals (98.7%) have received at least one dose of a vaccine.

For adolescents aged 12-17, more than 2.8 million individuals or 91.6% of the group have completed the vaccination while more than 2.9 million (94.7%) have received at least one dose of a vaccine.

As for children aged 5-11, more than 1.3 million of them or 37.1% of the group have received the first vaccine dose.

Yesterday, 41,287 vaccine doses were dispensed, with 4,360 as first doses, 1,684 as second doses and 35,243 booster doses, bringing the cumulative number of vaccine doses administered under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme to more than 68.7 million. – Bernama, March 29, 2022.
