Fewer flood victims in Johor, Malacca and Selangor

THE number of flood evacuees in Johor, Malacca and Selangor decreased to 284 people from 73 families this morning, compared with 327 people from 83 families yesterday.

The National Disaster Control Centre at the National Disaster Management Agency, in its report at 8am today, said that 14 individuals from four families are at the relief centre at SK Sungai Linau, Kluang, Johor, which was opened since last Wednesday.

In Malacca, only one shelter is opened since Tuesday, which is at SK Parit Penghulu in Jasin, where 33 flood victims from seven families are being accommodated.

Meanwhile in Selangor, the number of flood victims in Kuala Langat and Sepang remained at 237 people from 62 families, and they are at five relief centres in the two districts.

The shelters are Balai Raya Kampung Orang Asli Bukit Serdang, Balai Raya Kampung Orang Asli Bukit Tadom, Dewan Orang Ramai Kampung Bukit Changgang, Sekolah RTB Bukit Changgang and SK Kota Warisan. – Bernama, March 11, 2022.
