PAS sets Jan 22 to discuss Muafakat’s future with Umno

PAS has set a date to discuss PAS-Umno cooperation under Muafakat Nasional.

Kelantan party commissioner Ahmad Yakob said the state chapter has set the meeting on January 22.

The pact’s future direction and two parties’ future direction in the 15th general election (GE15) will be discussed, he added.

“Kelantan PAS has set (the meeting on) January 22, but Kelantan Umno has yet to revert on the matter.”

His remarks follow reports that Kelantan Umno chairman Ahmad Jazlan Yaakub had suggested both parties hold a meeting to discuss the pact’s direction in the state, especially for GE15. – Bernama, December 29, 2021.
