DOCTORONCALL, Malaysia’s first and largest digital health platform, has updated the services on its platform to address the growing number of Covid-19 cases nationwide, especially in Sabah.

DoctorOnCall said in a statement today, it has started its Covid-19 virtual health advisory portal for patients in Sabah where they can speak to their resident doctors via chat, phone or video call.

Sabahans will also be able to search for verified and credible written articles about the disease, take a self-assessment test to understand their risks and should they wish to clarify their symptoms, contact the doctors.

Malaysia yesterday recorded 489 Covid-19 cases, with most of them coming from Sabah, Kedah and Selangor.

Sabah once again had the highest number of new cases with 282, followed by Kedah (153) and Selangor (20).

The severity of the situation in Sabah and Selangor was highlighted with four areas – Sandakan, Papar, Tuaran and Klang – put under targeted conditional movement-control order (CMCO) from midnight tomorrow.

As Sabahans battle the escalation of Covid-19, they can access the portal for free from anywhere, seven days a week.

DoctorOnCall founder and chief executive officer Maran Virumandi said the free virtual health advisory platform allows doctors to understand callers’ concerns about Covid-19 or any other illnesses, assess any symptoms, and give advice on the necessary steps to be taken. – October 8, 2020.
