FORMER law minister and DAP leader Zaid Ibrahim says he now fears for his safety and that of his family following Umno and Jamal Yunos’ antics today.
Saya bimbang keselamatan saya dan keluarga, dengan ugutan Jamal dan rakan rakan Umno untok memukul kepala dengan tukul besar. Saya harap IGP yang budiman dapat menjaga keselamatan kami #fb

“I hope the inspector-general of police will take care of our safety,” Zaid said on his Twitter account @zaidibrahim at 2.20pm today.
The former Umno MP for Kota Baru said he did not think that Umno’s leaders would calm the situation.
“And as such, the police are all we have to rely on,” said Zaid.
After burning two Zaid Ibrahim effigies on the sidelines of Umno’s 71st general assembly at the Putra World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday, Jamal had threatened to “hammer” in Zaid’s head today.
Armed with a sledgehammer, Jamal said: “We will use this hammer to hammer his head if no action is taken against him.”
The Sungai Besar division chief said Zaid had forgotten how to respect the sultan as taught by Umno after the lawyer allegedly tweeted a response to the Selangor sultan’s recent interview in a local paper.
Sultan Selangor should be careful with his words. No one is immune when country burns #fb https://t.co/dQRYm9xcUg

“The Selangor sultan should be careful with his words. No one is immune when country burns.”
Zaid also tweeted: “When some rulers play politics; they must know the consequences. Don’t think there’s no price to pay for partisanship.” – December 8, 2017.
