MACC remands senior Terengganu cop in graft probe


The MACC has remanded a senior Terengganu narcotics police officer for allegedly soliciting and accepting a bribe of RM30,000. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, August 6, 2020.

A SENIOR narcotics officer at a District Police Headquarters in Terengganu has been remanded for six days to facilitate investigation into a bribery case.

The remand order was issued by the Kemaman magistrates’ court assistant registrar Masni Hajar Ghazali upon application by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to enable further investigation under Section 17(a) of the MACC Act.
