Money behind murder of Datuk Seri, say police

THE motive behind the kidnap and murder of a businessman, whose body was found in Rawang on Saturday, is linked to money, said Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department director Huzir Mohamed.

Without disclosing further details, he said the probe is covering all angles.

“The results of the autopsy are not yet ready. Investigations are ongoing,” he told a special press conference in Bukit Aman today.

It was reported that seven men, including a Bangladeshi, have been detained to facilitate investigations into the case.

The victim, who had the Datuk Seri title, is believed to have been abducted while exercising at a field in Bandar Sri Damansara, Petaling Jaya, on the morning of June 10.

On the alleged rape of a Nigerian woman, Huzir said police have arrested another three male suspects.
