AFTER Prime Minister Najib Razak and his deputy Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, another cabinet minister has visited Pakatan Harapan de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim in hospital.
Tourism and Culture Minister Mohamed Nazri Aziz paid Anwar a visit at Hospital Kuala Lumpur on Thursday with PKR deputy president Shamsul Iskandar Md Akin.
“Nazri visited Anwar at HKL on November 23 at 12.45pm,” Shamsul, who is also Bukit Katil MP, told The Malaysian Insight.
“I was with him. The 45-minute visit went on cheerfully.”
Nazri confirmed visiting Anwar, who had recently undergone surgery on his right shoulder at HKL.
Najib had previously made a surprise visit to see Anwar with his wife, Rosmah Mansor.
Pictures of them at HKL were posted on Najib’s official Twitter account, @najibrazak.
A day after Najib’s visit, Zahid and his wife, Hamidah Khamis, also visited Anwar.
During Anwar’s time in Umno, Najib, Zahid and Nazri were part of a team known as “Team Wawasan” under the leadership of Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
Anwar underwent surgery on November 12 for a severe injury suffered during a September car crash involving a Prisons Department vehicle.
Commenting on Nazri’s visit, Anwar’s lawyer, Yusmadi Yusoff, said this development proved that it was time for the PKR de facto leader to be released immediately.
“The visit should be seen as having legal implications that Anwar is an asset that binds the country together, and that he is respected and should be liberated as soon as possible,” Yusmadi said.
“The authorities, such as pardon advisory committees, could advise the Yang di-Pertuan Agong to refer to this development to ensure Anwar’s release as soon as possible,” said Yusmadi, who is also political secretary to opposition leader Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.
The former Balik Pulau MP said Anwar thanked Nazri for visiting.
“Anwar was extremely happy with Nazri’s visit.”
Anwar is serving a prison sentence for his February 2015 conviction for sodomising his former aide, Saiful Bukhari Azlan. – November 26, 2017.

Anwar should still remember what they did when he was humiliated, persecuted and these same hypocrites were with those who deserted him.

why ramai orang Umno visit Anwar now? Gua say dia orang semua kacau daun. They want public to think Anwar making deal with MO1, etc. to keluar penjara. Public will then not trust Anwar or Pakatan, and Pakatan parties will fight each other. All Umno leaders have to do is to just visit Anwar and the media spread the news. All kinds of rumors will then spread like hell, and Pakatan will pecah belah. Habis le GE14.
