POLICE last night arrested a 29-year-old man on suspicion that he alleged Nora Anne Quoirin, the teenager who was found dead on Tuesday near a Negri Sembilan resort, had been raped by an Orang Asli.

The claim was made in a Twitter post via the “Zikri Armstrong” account.

The suspect was arrested at the Seremban police headquarters about 7pm when he came to give his statement.

State police chief Mohamad Mat Yusof said the case has been referred to Bukit Aman.

“The man was arrested in Seremban last night,” he told Bernama.

He said the case is being investigated under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 and Section 505 of the Penal Code.

The authorities had launched a massive search for Nora Anne, a Franco-Irish 15-year-old, after she was reported missing from The Dusun resort on August 4.

A post-mortem revealed that the special needs teen died of internal bleeding due to starvation.
