THE volunteer group tracking M. Indira Gandhi’s missing daughter has sought the help of the Thai authorities after Malaysian police had allegedly not shown any interest in the case.

Arun Dorasamy of the Indira Gandhi Action Team (Ingat) said they have four credible leads which points to Indira’s ex-husband, Muhammad Riduan Abdullah, hiding in southern Thailand.

“We have contacted the Thai Embassy here as well as the authorities in Thailand to help locate the man,” Arun told The Malaysian Insight.

He said in the three weeks since Ingat was formed, the group received over 400 leads on the whereabouts of Ridhuan.

Arun also said that he was unhappy with the lack of help from Malaysian authorities in tracking down Riduan.

“I am sad with the way the authorities are handling the case. Even the cops have yet to call me to ask if I have anything that could help them find Riduan and the child, Prasana Diksa.

“There has been no assistance from the police on this case,” he said.

Arun, however, was confident of finding Riduan and Prasana soon.

“We are going to end this mystery soon. We are very confident of that. So far we have received 400 leads to track down Riduan.

“The information we received came from all walks of life. Not just Indians but others too, including private investigators and retired private investigators.

“From that, we have found four solid leads that will bring us to Riduan,” Arun disclosed, adding that they believe Riduan was hiding in Thailand with Prasana,” he said.

Arun further said they have been able to map out Riduan’s movement, adding that the latter went out of the country without proper documentation.

“His last position in Malaysia was back in 2016. That was the last time he was inside the country. But he travels without a document and we believe he came in and went out frequently during that period,” Arun said.

Riduan, whose original name was K. Patmanathan, took Prasana, who was just 11 months-old from Indira in 2009 to convert the child and two older children to Islam without their mother’s consent.

The older children have remained with Indira and are raised as Hindus but Prasana has been missing since then. The child is now about 11 years-old.

This is despite court orders to the police to arrest Riduan and find Prasana in the course of Indira’s 10-year legal battle for custody and to quash the unilateral conversions of her children to Islam.

Ingat was formed a few weeks ago, involving the Malaysian Hindu Sangam and other Hindu organisations, to help Indira locate her former husband and recover her child. – March 13, 2019.

  • If the scumbag husband is founded by Ingat it will just shows the incompetency of PDRM and their lackadaisical attitude to follow up on the case. The ex- IGP and even the current IGP ( before he retires ) should be hauled by AGC and reprimanded for shamming the PDRM office in their total negligence of job.

    • INGAT should have not being a loud mouth and tells the country of their leads. This will only help the culprit to change location. Find him and brings him back only then you talk.!!!!!!
