FORMER opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim was brought to Kuala Lumpur Hospital last night for a scheduled examination and not because of any acute condition, said hospital director Dr Zaininah Mohd Zain.
She said Anwar would be in the hospital for a few days, during which he would be attended to by a team of specialists.
“It is a scheduled examination and he will be reviewed by specialists ,” she said in a statement today.
It was earlier reported that Anwar was rushed to hospital because of fluctuating blood pressure.
PKR communications director Fahmi Fadzil said Anwar was also in need of intensive physiotherapy for his old shoulder injuries and was currently under observation. – Bernama, September 20, 2017.
