WITH just days to go before the end of this year’s fasting month, Ramadan bazaar traders in Kampung Baru are facing a tough time due to economic challenges and unpredictable weather.

They told The Malaysian Insight that the unexpected heavy downpour in the evenings was keeping customers away.

On top of that, they have also been unable to increase prices largely due to the general poor economic situation in the country. Further hurting their pockets are the rising raw material prices.

All these have led to a drop in overall sales compared to previous years. – April 8, 2024.
