[WATCH] I want to bring the people's concerns to the national level, says Siti Kasim
LAWYER cum activist Siti Kasim’s foray into the political scene is to bring her fight for the people to the national level by winning the Batu seat.
Her main intention of contesting is so that she can raise all the issues that she has been championing all these years.
The issues are those involving the Orang Asli, discrimination againts minorities, prosecution against lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) community, freedom of religion and many others.
“I want to speak up (in Parliament) the real concerns of the public. There are many issues that need to be raised,” she told The Malaysian Insight. – November 8, 2022.
