Yoga with Kareena EP3: Balance


THIS episode of Yoga with Kareena combines the Ujjayi breathing technique with the tree pose, which sharpens focus and emphasises balance.

Commonly translated to “victorious breath”, it has been called the ocean or Darth Vader breath for the audible intake and output of air.

Yoga practitioners find that the Ujjayi breath lends a rhythm to their practice while some find that it has a balancing and detoxifying effect, releasing pent-up stress and irritation.

Our host Kareena, with the help of assistant Jaime, demonstrates pairing the Ujjayi breath with the tree pose, a balancing posture, in several variations suitable for different levels of difficulty.
