WHICHEVER party that forms a new state government in Malacca must have a clear direction on how budget hotels are going to recover from the Covid-19 pandemic in the state which heavily relies on tourism, industry players said.

They said that it was crucial that the new administration looked into policies and proper assistance for budget hotel operators who had been hit hard since the onset of the pandemic.

Melaka Malaysia Budget and Business Hotel Association (MyBHA) chairman Sazali Sabri said the new government has to continue assisting budget hotels.  – November 18, 2021.
