RENOWNED photojournalist Shahidul Alam says that self-censorship is the biggest threat to any artist.

In 2018, Bangladeshi authorities arrested Shahidul for speaking out about a student protest in the country. He then spent 101 days behind bars before a global campaign was launched demanding his freedom.

The threat of future arrest has not slowed him down and Shahidul continues to document social injustices with his weapon of choice, his camera. – February 22, 2020.
