ON the first day of trial for the new year, the prosecution tried to get Najib Razak impeached over alleged contradictions between what he had told the MACC, and what he had told the court. But the judge threw out the application for impeachment.

And so the cross-examination of Najib as a witness in his own trial continued—with the former PM holding fast to what is looking to be his mantra: that he was too busy running the country to notice that his signature had been forged.—January 6, 2020.

  • But he wasnt too busy running the country to spend the money or then cover his tracks when he discovered it.
