THE Terengganu government today gave an assurance that all assemblymen will be given a development allocation for their constituencies.

Menteri Besar Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar said the allocation will be given based on each constituency’s needs.

“No state constituency will be left out. It (allocation) will be given based on needs,” he told reporters after attending a Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house in Ladang, Kuala Terengganu.

Present was Ladang assemblyman Tengku Hassan Tengku Omar.

It was reported that Samsuri said the state government had been forced to cut back on allocations and would prioritise PAS assemblymen, as the annual allocation for Barisan Nasional reps has been exhausted in the first four months of the year.

He welcomed the RM100,000 allocation recently announced by Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad for opposition MPs.
