POLICE are looking for the culprits who placed a bomb under lawyer and Orang Asli rights activist Siti Kasim’s car last week, said Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain, Harian Metro reported.

The top cop said police are tracing fingerprints found on the bomb and analysing other evidence to track down the suspects.

“The bomb (placed under Siti’s car) is a serious crime and such a threat is akin to attempted murder. Further investigations are being conducted by the Kuala Lumpur police,” he was quoted as saying.

The IGP urged the public not to speculate about the case.

Last week, Siti posted on social media that an object resembling a homemade explosive device had been strapped to her car.

The lawyer, via Facebook Live, said the device was discovered when she sent her vehicle for servicing in Bangsar.

Brickfields police chief Amihizam Abdul Shukor confirmed the device found under Siti’s car was a bomb. – July 24, 2023.
