VOTING for Pakatan Harapan (PH) is akin to voting for kleptocracy, Selangor Perikatan Nasional (PN) chief Mohamed Azmin Ali said.

Taking a dig at PH’s cooperation with Barisan Nasional (BN), Azmin said PH has backtracked on all its promises by working with leaders charged with corruption.

“One vote for Pakatan Harapan is a vote for the biggest corruptor in the country,” the former Selangor menteri besar said today at a Selangor PN convention.

He modified the “One vote for BN is a vote for Zahid” narrative used by PH leaders during the general election.

He urged Selangor voters not to be swayed by PH’s “fake” promises, and called on them to vote for PN for a better future.

“To the Malays, the future of Selangor and Malaysia is in your hands. To ensure that, vote PN,” the PN information chief said.

“As for the Chinese and Indians, who went all out to vote for Pakatan Harapan in GE15, finally today they are left with nothing but mere harapan (hope), because the government is now filled with kleptocrats.”

Azmin said Selangor voters should choose PN for a stable, clean, fair and caring state government.

He also took a swipe at the federal administration, showing several videos of PH leaders, including a clip of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim singing, alleging that they have failed to address the people’s plight.

“They (unity government leaders) have been in power for seven months now, but instead of changing the fates of poor Malaysians, the leaders are singing, cycling in office, and riding cows.

“We want leaders, not celebrities,” he said.

Azmin confirmed PN will contest all 56 state seats in Selangor.

“We want to contest in all seats as we don’t want to give an inch for them (PH) in Selangor,” he said. – June 24, 2023.
