FORMER Umno strongman Noh Omar should not further delay his plans to join Bersatu, the party’s supreme council member Mohamed Azmin Ali said.

The Selangor Perikatan Nasional (PN) chief urged Noh not to waste anymore time and join his party soon.

“So, what are you waiting for? The daughter has joined (Bersatu), what is the father (Noh) waiting for?

“The ‘old house’ (Umno) is not only in flames, but it has been wrecked. So, can I announce it now? It’s okay, he has his strategy,” said Azmin in his speech at PN’s campaign programme held in Tanjong Karang, Selangor last night.

Noh had been Umno’s Tanjong Karang lawmaker for six terms until he was dropped in the last general election in November.

Umno sacked him in January for purportedly violating the party constitution.

He subsequently said he would contest in the Selangor polls on a PN ticket but has yet to indicate the party he would be joining.

His daughter Nurul Syazwani joined Bersatu recently and is touted to be a candidate for the state polls. – June 5, 2023.
