THE Petaling Jaya Municipal Council (MBPJ) intends to strictly investigate a case involving its personnel who allegedly abused an elderly person during a dog-catching mission. 

“We want to stress that there will be no compromise in this case or (attempts) to protect any council staff if it is true and proven that they have committed the offence.  

“We have also set up an internal investigating committee to probe into the incident, and it is ongoing,” it stated today. 

Some videos of MBPJ enforcement personnel purportedly abusing an old man with an iron rod went viral yesterday. 

Facebook user Rekha Morgan asserted that she knew the victim. She alleged that the officers had provoked him. – March 24, 2023.
