THE PKR polls for the 2022-2025 term have officially ended, with the results to be announced next month, said election committee chairman Zaliha Mustafa.

She said this follows re-voting in 12 divisions in five states, namely Kedah, Kelantan, Terengganu, Selangor and Sabah.

Unofficial results will be posted on the official party website from today, she added.

“The official results will be announced during the PKR Congress, which will take place on June 25 and 26.

“All decisions are final.”

PKR president Anwar Ibrahim yesterday told candidates contesting in the polls to accept the results with an open heart.

He said he hopes the results will rebuild the strength of the party.

The PKR polls took place from May 13 to 22 and were marred by technical issues.

They also saw a low voter turnout of only about 13%.

One of the eagerly awaited results is for the deputy president post involving Rafizi Ramli and Saifuddin Nasution Ismail. – May 29, 2022.
