Transport Ministry can block e-hailing operators’ licences for overcharging

THE licences of e-hailing operators can be revoked or suspended if they violate the allowed surcharge amount, which is set at 200% of the base fare, said Transport Minister Wee Ka Siong. 

He said the Land Public Transport Agency has been ordered to investigate the matter as the surcharge rate had been agreed upon in 2019.
