MUAFAKAT Nasional’s (MN) unity of the ummah concept is considered the best formula, said PAS secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan.
He said this is because it can include any political party or individual who shares the common goal to unite the ummah as stipulated in the MN charter.
“As such, PAS is urging for this unity among all parties… as mentioned by president Abdul Hadi Awang.”
MN is initiated by both PAS and Umno.
Takiyuddin said unity of the ummah is vital for the country to improve and people to live in harmony.
“We need to unite. There must be power-sharing among the people of various ethnic groups, races and religions in our country.”
On the emergence of Angkatan Amanah Merdeka Rakyat Kelantan, Takiyuddin said PAS is undeterred by its presence.
“What is important is that PAS has a clear direction. Nothing will disrupt its 15th general election preparations.”
Media earlier reported the new state-based political alliance is established with an aim to oust the PAS-led Kelantan government. – Bernama, May 6, 2022.
