PLUS Malaysia Bhd chief operating officer (COO) Zakaria Ahmad Zabidi has been elected the new president of the Association of Malaysian Highway Concessionaires for the 2022-2024 term.

At the association’s general meeting recently, the Prolintas Group general manager (highway operations) Azmee Nin was elected deputy president and IJM Corporation Bhd COO (toll division) Wan Salwani Wan Yusoff the secretary-general, the association said in a statement today.

The Association of Malaysian Highway Concessionaires was established on February 9, 2011, with the objective of providing a platform to address important issues related to highway operations in Malaysia, among others.

It also acts as a mediator between concession companies, authorities, and the public in discussing issues related to expressways, including toll rates, toll operations and highway maintenance. – Bernama, February 19, 2022.
