PLUS Malaysia Bhd is contributing medical supplies and personal protective equipment worth RM1.2 million to Kuala Lumpur and Sg Buloh Hospitals to aid the fight against Covid-19.
Managing director Azman Ismail said PLUS will buy the items directly from suppliers, and coordinate deliveries to the hospitals.
“It’s the least we can do to lessen the burden of the hospitals’ procurement teams in these trying times.
“Globally, the virus has infected more than one million people, and in Malaysia alone, more than 3,000 have tested positive. The good news is, more than 1,000 Malaysians have recovered.
“We sincerely hope that we will be able to contribute to a higher recovery rate through the items for the two hospitals,” he said in a statement today.
He said PLUS supports the government’s initiatives to combat the coronavirus, and strongly advises Malaysians to stay home and help flatten the curve. – Bernama, April 7, 2020.
