5 GPS incumbents to defend seats in Miri division

FIVE incumbents for the Sarawak constituencies of Bekenu, Lambir, Piasau, Senadin and Marudi will defend their seats in the 12th Sarawak elections on December 18, according to GPS chairmain Abang Johari Openg.

“We will retain (the five assemblymen) so that they can assist me in the larger team in GPS,” he said when speaking at a dinner in Miri last night.

Abang Johari was referring to Rosey Yunus (Bekenu); Ripin Lamat (Lambir); Sebastian Ting (Piasau); Lee Kim Shin (Senadin); and Penguang Manggil (Marudi).

The chief minister said he would reveal the status of the coalition’s two remaining Miri division assemblymen for Telang Usan and Mulu later today. – Bernama, November 25, 2021.
