Almost 80% adults fully vaccinated against coronavirus

MALAYSIA has fully vaccinated 79.6% of its adult population against Covid-19 under the national immunisation programme, the Health Ministry said.

That is equivalent to 18.65 million people, it said today on the CovidNow website. 

It said 94.4% of adults have received one jab and 5.6% are unvaccinated. 

Yesterday, 289,618 people received one dose of a vaccine, 94,145 of which were first doses and 195,473, second doses.

In the Klang Valley, 107.1% (6,601,266) of adults are fully inoculated. 

Sabah remains the state with the lowest vaccination rate with 55.5%, or 1.5 million adults, jabbed.

CovidNow projects that a 100% full vaccination rate for adults is achievable by November 7. 

It forecasts 80% of adults will be fully vaccinated by today. – September 21, 2021.
