4 localities in Pahang, 2 in Sabah under EMCO from tomorrow

FOUR localities in Pahang and two in Sabah will be placed under the enhanced movement-control order (EMCO) from tomorrow until September 23, National Security Council director-general Rodzi Md Saad said today.

In Pahang, the localities involved are the Sg Kiol and Tekeh Orang Asli villages; Felda Sg Tekam in Jerantut; Kg Batu 1, Jalan Mentakab (Temerloh); and Felda Keratong 8 (Rompin).

In Sabah, it involves Kg Ulu and Kg Pasir Putih in Putatan.

Rodzi said the EMCO in a number of areas in Sabah, Sarawak and Pahang, which was supposed to end tomorrow, has been extended to September 23.

The localities involved are Kg Pengalat Kecil in Papar and Kg Lohan Ulu in Ranau Sabah; Simpang Arang Orang Asli village in Johor Baru and the workers’ quarters of Sri Datai Mining Sdn Bhd, Mukah (Sarawak).

Meanwhile, the EMCO at the Kuala Masai Orang Asli village in Johor Baru and in 10 areas in Sabah will end tomorrow as scheduled. – Bernama, September 8, 2021.
