Full Covid vaccination rate of adults reaches 61.9%

THE vaccination rate inched to 61.9% of the adult population yesterday with the administration of 336,646 doses of Covid-19 vaccines, dipping slightly from 343,900 doses the day before.

Of yesterday’s shots, 146,632 were first doses and 190,010, second doses.

This means 14. 4 million adults have had two doses of the vaccine and 19.2 million, or 82.2% of adults, one dose.

In total, 33.72 million jabs have been administered since the vaccination drive began on February 24.

Labuan has the highest rate of full vaccination with 63,830 people, or 93.2% of the adult population, having received two doses.

The Klang Valley has seen the highest number of doses dispensed with 6.8 million first jabs and 5.5 million second jabs. – August 29, 2021.
