IGP assures country’s security, public order under control

POLICE have given its assurance the country’s security and public order are under control, in the light of the current political situation.

Inspector-General of Police Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said in this regard, the public is asked to remain calm and not speculate because police would ensure national security, with increased surveillance, for the people’s wellbeing.

“Police are always monitoring the current security scenario, and will take stern action if there are any parties using any medium that will incite others or threaten public order,” he said in a statement today.

At the same time, the public is asked to always adhere to all standard operating procedure set by the National Security Council, as a joint effort to curb the spread of Covid-19.
