Felda manager in remand for alleged power abuse

A FELDA manager is in remand for five days from today for alleged power abuse involving an agricultural project worth RM64,739.

The remand order was issued by assistant registrar Humairah KM Haider in Kuantan following an application from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

The 38-year-old man was arrested after giving his statement at the Pahang MACC office at about 7pm yesterday.

He was suspected of using his position as chairman of a procurement committee by appointing a company that he had interest in for the project. – Bernama, August 4, 2021.
