PAS has reiterated its full support for Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and the Perikatan Nasional administration after Umno’s announcement yesterday withdrawing support for the 74-year-old.

“PAS will continue to give its full support and help combat the Covid-19 virus through the National Recovery Plan that has been drawn up by the government,” its deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said in a statement today.

He said following the current political chaos in the country, any press statements from PAS would be released by the party’s secretary general, Takiyuddin Hassan, or its president, Abdul Hadi Awang.

“PAS will remain committed to helping those affected by the pandemic. We hope the public can remain patient and work together to combat the virus.”

Muhyiddin arrived at Istana Negara earlier this morning for an audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong after his parliamentary majority was called into question following the pullout of several Umno members from his administration. – August 4, 2021.
