Tamil movie director fined RM10,000 for filming outdoors

A LOCAL Tamil film director was fined RM10,000 for violating the movement control order (MCO) by filming outdoors at Jeti Penambang 2, Bukit Pelandok, near Seremban, yesterday.

Port Dickson district police chief Aidi Sham Mohamed said the 59-year-old man was issued the compound after police received a public tip-off that someone was shooting a movie outdoors about 11.30am yesterday.

“The man was issued the compound while filming at the jetty.

“The individual who was compounded should have been more sensitive to the SOP set by the National Security Council, whereby filming is only allowed in the studio during the MCO period,” he said in a statement late yesterday.

He said police took a serious view of violations of the rules to curb the spread of Covid-19 following the increasing number of daily cases. – Bernama, May 17, 2021.

  • Can all Malaysian politician also be banned from having their little "community event" as well as most of these events are just a disguise of their goodies hand out to the community in order to canvas for votes and the best part the attendees are not from the local community.
