Malaysian among 10 imported virus cases in Singapore

A 64-YEAR-OLD Malaysian man with travel history to Indonesia is among 10 cases of imported coronavirus infections logged in Singapore today.

Labelled case 58757, the man, who holds a short-term visit pass, was isolated upon arrival in Singapore, the  Health Ministry said late yesterday

“Case 58757 is a caregiver to an individual who was receiving medical care in Singapore and had returned for further treatment,” said the ministry.

All of the 10 imported cases were asymptomatic.

The city state yesterday reported 10 new Covid-19 infections, all imported, taking the total cases to 58,519.

More than 90%, or 54,506 of the caseload, are dormitory residents. – Bernama, December 27, 2020.
