OSMAN Sapian has suggested Bersatu take revenge against Umno by moving against Johor Menteri Besar Hasni Mohamd.

The former Johor menteri besar from Bersatu said this is one way for the leadership to get even with Umno after what the party did to Perak Menteri Besar Ahmad Faizal Azumu, who is the Bersatu deputy president.

“Bersatu assemblymen could take revenge by doing the same thing to the menteri besar who is from Umno,” he told Utusan Malaysia today.

The Kempas assemblyman said the decision rests on the leadership, while pointing out he is not part of the state leadership.

Faizal was ousted as menteri besar yesterday after he lost a vote of confidence in the Perak assembly.

Forty-eight assemblyman voted against him in the 59-seat legislature while 10 voted for him. There was one spoilt vote.

In Johor, Umno depends on Bersatu which counts 12 assemblymen among its ranks in the 56-seat assembly.

Umno has 14 assemblymen while its Barisan Nasional coalition partner, MIC has two seats and PAS (1).

Pakatan Harapan has 27 assemblymen. – December 5, 2020.
