A 13-year-old boy was found drowned after he slipped and fell into a canal in Kota Baru today.

Muhammad Alif Asyraf Parudin, a Form One student, fell into the canal in Kg Telaga Bata, Pengkalan Chepa, while walking with some friends at about 10am, said Pengkalan Chepa Fire and Rescue Station chief Mohd Fakri Mazlan.

He said six personnel were deployed to the location after being notified at 10.08am and found the boy’s body on the canal bed at the spot where he had fallen into the water.

The body has been handed over to police, he said. – Bernama, November 24, 2020.
