THE National Security Council has agreed to allow businesses in states under the conditional movement-control order (CMCO) to operate until midnight from tomorrow onwards.

“All businesses, not just restaurants. Street food and hawkers included,” said Senior Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob during the daily briefing on Covid-19 movement restrictions today.

Businesses in Selangor, Penang, Sabah, Perak, Negri Sembilan, Kuala Lumpur and Labuan, which are the states and territories currently under CMCO, have only been allowed to operate until 10pm.

The CMCO was lifted recently in Kedah, Malacca, Terengganu and Johor, except for a few areas.

The same announcement was made on the NSC’s Facebook page and Telegram channel today.
