THE situation in front of Istana Negeri Sabah’s main entrance in Kota Kinabalu was calm at 2.20pm today, with tight police security.

Media personnel have gathered there since early this morning in anticipation of the swearing-in of the new chief minister of Sabah.

Umno’s Bung Moktar Radin was seen arriving at Istana Negeri at 2.27pm, with Bersatu’s Hajiji Noor following soon after. 

At 1.30pm, a black car carrying Sabah police commissioner Hazani Ghazali was seen entering the palace grounds.
