M. ANAD Krishnan is a non-executive director at Bursa Malaysia effective April 23.

In an exchange filing today, the bourse said the appointment of Anad as public interest director by the finance minister was pursuant to Section 10(1)(a) of the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007.

The announcement was made today.

Anad has vast experience in corporate conveyancing, corporate banking law and corporate litigation, having conducted numerous trials and hearings in the federal and appellate courts.

He was an independent non-executive director of Bina Puri Holdings Bhd from May 2005 to May 2013.

The announcement follows an internal shake-up in Bursa Malaysia which saw the appointment of  Abdul Wahid Omar as the non-executive chairman. – Bernama, April 17, 2020.
