PAS hates Amanah, DAP more than it loves Islam, country, says Dr Mahathir

PAS is obsessed with its enmity with Amanah and DAP, and would rather go down fighting in multi-cornered fights than stand up for the Malays, Islam or country, Dr Mahathir Mohamad said.

PAS does not care about race, religion, and country; it does not even prioritise the removal of the kleptocratic Najib administration, Dr Mahathir said on his blog chedet today.

“For PAS, what matters most is its enmity with Amanah and DAP. Even defeat (in the next election) does not matter, as long as it gets to contest.”

Those who have sworn loyalty to the PAS leadership and who are obsessed with the party are the ones who have divided the Malays with the belief that those who oppose PAS are infidels and that to fight against them is a form of jihad, said Dr Mahathir.

“Such fanatical PAS supporters need to repent as they have followed PAS teachings, which goes against the teachings of Islam, that all men are brothers,” he said.

Dr Mahathir said no Muslim can accuse another of being an infidel because of political differences.

Dr Mahathir also urged PAS to stop the controversial practice of refusing to pray with imam from rival party Umno, which he claimed was still still going on in present-day Terengganu.

In the 1980s, extremist PAS members would not attend Friday prayers that were led by an Umno imam, as they believed that their prayers would not be accepted.

Dr Mahathir pointed out that PAS has never won at the national level, saying the most parliamentary seats it ever won on its own, without joining a coalition, were 11 seats.

“PAS would only be in the federal government if it joined Barisan Nasional,” Dr Mahathir said.

“The fact is, it is only when PAS joins forces with other parties, especially when combining with DAP, which PAS calls ‘tahaluf siyasi’ (political cooperation) that PAS can win 24 or 27 seats.”

Dr Mahathir said in many seats PAS said it intended to contest, its role was only to spoil the votes for the opposition.

“PAS itself would lose in many of the seats it chooses to contest. There is nothing from (this) that can be described as an Islamic struggle.”

Dr Mahathir added that PAS knew its victory in Pantai Barat in the 12th and 13th general elections was due to the support of DAP and the Chinese.

As a result, PAS stands to lose more seats than it currently holds in the coming election should it contest the same 60 seats it did in GE13.

Dr Mahathir called on the PAS leadership and members to “repent”.

“Truly, voting for PAS is the same as voting for BN, which is the same as endorsing crime, corruption, and thievery as practised by BN led by (Prime Minister) Najib (Razak).

“The supporters of criminals will bear the sins of the criminals.” – September 11, 2017.
